Camping is available at King & Bartlett Lake Camp, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Little Spencer Stream. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Going for a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you get bored of Cedar Pond you could also take a look at nearby Bear Pond. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Cedar Pond called the Bigelow Range Trail, and Beck Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop

| | by. Near Cedar Pond you find the Fire Warden Trail which is a good hiking trail; one of the principal traits of the surroundings of Cedar Pond is Bear Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Cedar Pond gets a typical amount of yearly rain; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. A great place to camp here at Cedar Pond is Black Arrow Lodge, and Sugarloaf USA is a magnificent local ski area. | |

For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Cedar Pond reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Cedar
Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Herbert Grand Hotel, and float down the rapids of Spencer Stream in a kayak.

 | 18 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
