    Many people like to go to Cedar Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Cedar Pond, for example Jo-Mary Pond. Gauntlet Falls is always fun to check out; you can stay the night at Big Moose Campground. The amount of precipitation that falls at Cedar Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is July, and February is the month with the least moisture.
There's whitewater on Pleasant River - East Branch
 
   for all you thrill seekers, and going for a hike on the Pleasant River Trail is always a nice adventure. Summertime highs at Cedar Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Cedar Pond dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. Gauntlet Pond is a magnificent lake in the vicinity of Cedar Pond, and the skiing at Big Squaw is  
               magnificent.
Jo-mary Lake Campground is a good campground nearby, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Jo-Mary Trail. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Cedar Pond rocks! Cedar Mountain is clearly visible from Cedar Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Pleasant River - East Branch. This lake is so wonderful. There are delightful places to look at along the Packards Trail; getting to Babble Brook from Cedar Pond is simple.
