    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Cascade Pond. Cascade Pond is a reasonably wet place ordinarily with a lot of rainfall; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while February is usually the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Cascade Pond. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for Cascade Pond  
   tend to be in the 0's. The Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best, and the panorama of Howard Hill is pretty.
This lake is so wonderful. Kennebec Heights Country Club is a wonderful golf course nearby, and Shepard Point is not far at all. Cascade Pond really is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. There are some great whitewater spots on Cobbosseecontee Stream; if you need a spot to stay Best Western Senator Inn & Spa is
 
               a glorious choice.
There's so much to do here at Cascade Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Foggy Bottom Marine is a nice place for that, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Augusta-Waterville here. You'll discover a scenic lake called Kennebec River Reservoir near Cascade Pond, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Vaughn Brook. You can take a little spree to Vaughn Brook Dam while you're here at Cascade Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Americas Best Inns-Augusta.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Great Pond Campground is a good spot to do that, and Britts Shoal is also a tremendous location to discover.
