Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pierce Tote Road; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Mattawamkeag River - West Branch. A lake nearby is Timoney Lake, and do take a hike on the Potters Trail. Really great skiing awaits you at Bigrock, and the Kennedy Tote Road offers hiking at its best. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Carson Pond, so little time. You get a       pleasant sight of Timoney Mountain from Carson Pond; if you came for an overnight stay Bear Mountain Lodge is a great site to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Baxter Brook is a beautiful stream that is worth visiting; if you need a location to stay Shiretown Motor Inn is a good choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Mattawamkeag River - East Branch, and camping is available at Wilde Pines Campground. During the days of summer                  at Carson Pond temperatures are typically in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Carson Pond are in the 0's. Carson Pond is a good place of common rainfall; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
