A brilliant place to camp here at Carrabassett       River Reservoir is Deer Farms Camps and Campground; naturally Alder Stream is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. During the days of summer highs here at Carrabassett River Reservoir reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Carrabassett River Reservoir. The scenery at Kingfield Dam in the neighborhood of Carrabassett River Reservoir is wonderful,                  and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Carrabasset.
