There's nice hiking along the Fox Brook Trail; why not a little side visit to Bishop Pond Stream. The yearly rainfall here at Carr Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August, and the driest of the months is February. What a location this is for outdoors folks. The top of Bald Mountain is easily spotted       from Carr Pond, and splendid hiking is available along the Island Pond Trail. Camping at Umcolcus Sporting Camps is always a great experience. You can run the rapids of Fish River close to Carr Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Carr Pond; Round Trail is a brilliant local trail. Summertime highs at Carr Pond regularly tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs during the winter                  are frequently in the 10's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Carr Pond fall into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
