Why not stop by Lake Carolyn if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day it's a tremendous idea to spend the day at Cape Neddick Beach, and dry warm beds await you at Meadowmere Resort. If only every spot had this much outdoors fun things, what a great earth it would be. Swamps can be such attention-grabbing locations, check out Rush Swamp since you're here at Lake Carolyn. After a long day outdoors Village Green Ocean Front is a brilliant site to spend a night or two; there are some good whitewater spots on Atlantic Ocean. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? from Portland-South Portland love to come to Lake Carolyn, and locations like The Basin are tremendous to check out.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Great Works River, and you can stay the night at Dixon's Campgrounds. Cape
Neddick Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, and Short Sands is relatively close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Pond Rocks is a delightful place to stop at close by, and let's not forget Cape Neddick River which is
a stream that you may run into during your stay.
Birch Knoll can be spotted from Lake Carolyn, and do schedule some time to visit Barn Point if you have a chance. The warmest time of the year at Lake Carolyn arrives with high
temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lake Carolyn are in the 10's.
