     There's whitewater on Grand Lake Stream for all you adrenaline kick people, and why not camp at Big Lake Campground since you're here at Carloe Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Carloe Pond a relatively wet spot; during the month of November you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is June. High temperatures at Carloe Pond through the summer months are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime  
   comes with highs in the 20's while Carloe Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Hosea Pug Lake near Carloe Pond; Long Lake Campground is a magnificent local campground.
While you're here at Carloe Pond, you could also have a look at lovely East Arm Clifford Lake; Carloe Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. This lake is so wonderful. Harmon Mountain can be spotted
 
               from Carloe Pond, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Old Stream. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! Carloe Pond is unbeatable! Do pay a visit to Roosevelt Campobello International Park if you're here at Carloe Pond.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) . Hunting in that area was, should I say, productive . ...
