    If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Caribou Pond. If you get bored of Caribou Pond, you could also stop at close by Billings Ponds; Caribou Pond is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Deer Mountain Campground is a magnificent local campground. The Old Magalloway Trail offers hiking at its best, and camping at Cupsuptic Campground is always a wonderful experience. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Arnold  
   Trail, and Rump Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
Caribou Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Yep, outdoors fun things to do are in fact bountiful here at Caribou Pond. Balsams Wilderness is a splendid local ski area. Summertime highs at Caribou Pond ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the
 
               50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Caribou Pond dipping down into the-10's during winter nights.
There's whitewater on Magalloway River for all you thrill seekers, and if you're here, you could go to Bereau Brook.

Boundary Pond
Drove up on the 14th of October, 1 day before season closed. First time in 35 years of going was the pond complete smooth, not a ripple. Between my friend and I, we must have caught 30-40 fish both on dry & wet flies, only keeping 4 for breakfast the next morning. It was a good mix of newly stocked (white bellies) and either hold overs or natives (deep rich colors). It was a wonderful experience!...
