Caribou Pond is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Deer Mountain Campground is a tremendous place to camp nearby; most likely you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Rump Pond is just a very short distance away. Bereau Brook flows through this area, and naturally, this is a great region for people who like lakes, Billings Ponds is a lake close by. Old Magalloway Trail. Good hiking is available along the Arnold Trail; the skiing at Balsams Wilderness is good. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Magalloway River is so much fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Caribou Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cupsuptic Campground.

 | Drove up on the 14th of October, 1 day before season closed. First time in 35 years of going was the pond complete smooth, not a ripple. Between my friend and I, we must have caught 30-40 fish both on dry & wet flies, only keeping 4 for breakfast the next morning. It was a good mix of newly stocked (white bellies) and either hold overs or natives (deep rich colors). It was a wonderful experience!... |
