Range Trail is always a wonderful adventure. Sandy River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Fire Warden Trail. A lake nearby is Redington Pond, and in case you don’t mind getting wet,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Orbeton Stream. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Saddleback is just what you need, and Caribou Valley is a pleasant spot to spend some time. Head up to Sugarloaf USA and strap
some skis to your feet, of course you could also go to Jones Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. From a rain point of view Caribou Pond is a reasonably typical spot; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily November, that's the one that snows the most; February on the other hand is the driest.
