The Arnold Trail offers hiking at its best, and a stunning lake like Lost Pond is a delightful place to stop by. Camping at Black Arrow Lodge is always a pleasant experience; Saddleback has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps are exciting places and Lower Hathan Bog close to Caribou Bog is no exception; Caribou Bog is great       enough to spend more than a day at, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great local campground. Any time is a fine time at Caribou Bog if you love the outdoors. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Caribou Bog; Morrell Trail is a good local trail, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Dead River - North Branch. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Caribou Bog, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the                  winter are ordinarily in the 20's; nighttime lows in the-10's for Caribou Bog. Visit Halfmile Brook since you're here at Caribou Bog, and you can run the rapids of Moose River - South Branch. Caribou Bog gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
