A pleasant nearby hotel is Blue Harbor House Inn, and there's whitewater on Sheepscot River for all you adrenaline kick people. The yearly rainfall here at Cargill Pond is about average; most of the rain falls during November; the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay       The Country Inn Camden-Rckprt is a brilliant choice, and if you came to camp Sennebec Lake Campground is a pleasant place to do that. The view of pretty Coon Mountain near Cargill Pond is perfect, and lakes are such serene sites, why not have a look at Saint George Lake. All through the summer at Cargill Pond temperatures are regularly in the 80's; the night is a little colder of course, generally in the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in                  the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Cargill Pond descend into the 0's. This spot is unbeatable, just check out all the cool stuff to do next to Cargill Pond. There's so much to do here at Cargill Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Ridge Campgrounds is a fine place for that, and there are other locations here than Cargill Pond, for example Little Pond. Go for a hike on the Mount Battie Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend St. George River. This lake is so wonderful.
