Why not stop by Capisic Pond if you're passing through these parts. Embassy Suites Hotel Portland is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and there are plenty of people from Portland-South Portland here at Capisic Pond. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Capisic Pond. Really glorious skiing awaits you at Lost Valley. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Stroudwater River

| | Reservoir, and if you want to hit the beach, Willard Beach is in the vicinity. A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Capisic Pond is Chandler Brook, and Cliff House Beach is pretty close by if you're in a beach type of mood. Lakes? Sure, Clark Pond is in the vicinity. There's so much to do here at Capisic Pond that you need to camp here for a while, A Vacationland Campground is a good spot for that. is a pleasant spot to do that, and after a long day outdoors Pomegranate Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Stroudwater Dam is a stunning place in the vicinity of Capisic Pond; for you
golfers we recommend close by Riverside Municipal Golf Course. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Capisic Pond. Thompson Point is not far from Capisic Pond at all, and get your heart beating on the
nice whitewater of Royal River. Long Creek is a magnificent local stream, and the sight of Blueberry Hill is gorgeous. Capisic Pond is a quite wet place generally with lots of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here;
August is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the months of summer at Capisic Pond highs are mostly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are frequently in the 30's while Capisic Pond night low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's.

 | 13 miles away This is a nice small pond just off of 302 but you can't hear any of the busy traffic. I'd recommend LOTS of bug sprays as the mosquitoes tend to swarm and are very plentiful this year. If you're not a fisherman but your children are...there are picnic tables for you to enjoy a book, needlepoint, or just relax and take in the fresh air.... |
