This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Buttermilk Pond; Northwest Ridge Road is a nice local trail, and do have a look at Caribou Stream while you're here at Buttermilk Pond. The Auburn Log Hauling Road offers hiking at its best, and Big Squaw is a very popular ski area nearby. Buttermilk Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; the       month with most of the rain is July; the driest month of the year is February. Throughout the summertime at Buttermilk Pond highs are generally in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the wintertime highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Buttermilk Pond dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. If you came for an overnight stay Wildwood Shores Campground is a glorious site to camp, and whitewater paddling is magnificent                  on Ship Pond Stream. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Number Two Trail; Pudding Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a great choice. And if that's not enough, there's a load more to do next to Buttermilk Pond.
