The beauty of Butler Pond is reason enough to stop by. King & Bartlett Lake Camp is a glorious local campground; good skiing awaits you at Saddleback. Butler Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Butler Pond; Piazza Rock Trail is a brilliant local trail. | | days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Butler Pond tend to be in the-10's. A normal amount of rain falls here at Butler Pond; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. So many amusing things near Butler Pond, just phenomenal. There's good hiking along the Fire Warden Trail, and you can never get enough of the splendid skiing at Sugarloaf USA. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Dead River - South Branch. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Lake Inn, and don't leave Butler Pond without first going for
a hike along the Bigelow Range Trail. While you're here at Butler Pond, you could also take a look at beautiful Rush Pond, and why not camp at Black Arrow Lodge since you're here at Butler Pond. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody
but if it's for you then we recommend Parlin Pond Stream, and getting to Viles Brook from Butler Pond is easy.

 | 12 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
