Camera Hill is lovely and can be seen from Butler Pond, and glide down the rapids of Parlin Pond Stream in a kayak. Having a good time at Butler Pond is easy. There are nice locations to discover along the Fire Warden Trail, and a brilliant site to camp here at Butler       Pond is King & Bartlett Lake Camp. If you come at the right time of year, Cupsuptic River offers some splendid whitewater; skiing at Saddleback is one of those things you just have to do. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Everett Pond in the vicinity of Butler Pond, it's a picturesque lake. At Butler Pond during the days of summer highs are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's, and all through                  the dark hours in the wintertime at Butler Pond temperatures descend to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Sugarloaf USA if you're here, and going for a hike on the Bigelow Range Trail is always a brilliant adventure. Butler Pond is a good site of normal rain; most of the rain falls through July while February is generally the driest month.
