a good swamp near Burntland Pond is Labrador Swamp. Camping is available at Greenlaws RV and Tenting Park, and if you feel like a little side trip, try Dow Ledge. Nearby lakes? Sure, Ames Pond is right next door to Burntland Pond;
if you came for an overnight stay Old Quarry Ocean Adventures is a great location to camp. Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a wonderful location to get some rest, and get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Blue Hill Falls.
Through the summertime at Burntland Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Burntland Pond through the wintertime
typically plunge into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sawyer Notch Trail, and taking a little journey to nearby Allen Cove is a nice idea.
