     Burnt Pond is a nice lake to visit. Stay the night at Shin Pond Village Campground, and if you need a location to stay Dean's Motor Lodge is a brilliant choice. Float down the rapids of Millinocket Stream in a kayak; do take a hike on the Millinocket Lake Tote Road.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Burnt Pond has to offer, you can camp at Matagamon Wilderness Campground, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Round Trail. So
 
   much fun stuff to do at Burnt Pond, so little time. A spree to Gilman Beach near Burnt Pond is always a tremendous idea; if you're here you can take a hike along the Snowshoe Lake Road. Burnt Pond gets a normal amount of yearly rain; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest of the months is February.
Summertime highs at Burnt Pond usually tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's
 
               while Burnt Pond nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Machias River, and after a long day outdoors Mt Chase Lodge & Country Inn is a magnificent place to spend a night or two.
