A lake close by is Rancourt Pond, and hiking along the Alder Brook Trail is tremendous fun. After a long day outdoors Herbert Grand Hotel is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and if you get bored of Burnt Land Pond you could also take a look at nearby Crocker Pond. Burnt Land Pond is right by the Sally Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail; Moose River Campground is a glorious campground nearby. High temperatures

| | at Burnt Land Pond during the months of summer are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; overnight lows at Burnt Land Pond during the wintertime generally dip into the-10's. Just can't get enough of Burnt Land Pond. Branch. From a rain point of view Burnt Land Pond is a quite normal site; most of the rain falls all through July; the driest month is February. Little Spencer Stream is a great whitewater spot right next door to Burnt Land Pond; Jackman Landing Campground is a nice local campground.
