At Burgess Pond you always meet someone from Lewiston-Auburn, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. Burgess Pond is a wet spot that gets lots of rain; the month with most of the rain is November, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
Going for a hike
 
   on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Riverbend Campground is a good campground nearby. Comfort Inn & Suites is a perfect place to get some rest, and get covered with water paddling on Wilson Stream. This lake is so wonderful. Round Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at; after a long day outdoors Wilson Lake Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two.
Be careful coming to Burgess Pond, you might
 
               not ever wanna return back home again. A round of golf at nearby Maple Lane Inn & Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time; if you came for an overnight stay East Livermore Campgrounds is a great place to camp. All through the summer months at Burgess Pond highs are usually in the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Burgess Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Do go to Rack Pond close to Burgess Pond, it's a picturesque lake; the snow is splendid at Titcomb.
