     For the period of the months of summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Bunker Pond. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Bunker Pond are in the-10's. A typical amount of rain falls here at Bunker Pond; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough  
   of the great skiing at Mount Abram, and camping is available at South Arm Campground.
And that's not all you can do here at Bunker Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Bunker Pond; Angel Falls Trail is a great local trail; Swains Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. Be careful coming to the White Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. There are some great whitewater
 
               spots on Black Brook, and Bunker Pond is near Mine Notch which is beyond doubt worth taking a look at.
Yeah, come up here to the White Mountains for a great time. Visit Noisy Brook since you're here at Bunker Pond; you can go for a hike on the Chimney Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Black Mountain is one of those things you just have to do; magnificent hiking is available along the Brook Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Swift River offers some perfect whitewater, and a great site to camp here at Bunker Pond is Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground.
At Bunker Pond you can spot Flathead Mountain, and after a long day outdoors The Perennial Inn is a great site to spend a night or two. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Bunker Pond has it all. A lake nearby is Muskrat Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Grand Summit Resort Sunday River.

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....

NOVICES & INTERMEDIATES CAN SKI FROM THE SUMMIT -- FOR THE FIRST TIME
The new quad chairlift also allows novice and intermediate skiers to ski from the summit for the first time. Novices can now enjoy the panoramic views and ski along the 4000 ft. ridge amongst rime-frosted conifers before descending to the base via the 3.1 mile America and Hudson Highway trails. Intermediates can ski Tri-Color and Green Weaver, a one mile loop, back to the Kennebago Chair.

Black Beauty, Frost Bite and Artula (black diamond) were added off the new Kennebago Quad Chair. Hornberg (green circle) is a new easier trail in the South Branch beginner/family area which also provides access to ski-in ski-out trails for the South Branch and Mountain Brook condominiums.
