What a location this is for outdoors people. You'll meet a lot of people from Lewiston-Auburn here; if you need a site to stay Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a great choice. Enjoy a round of golf at Meadows Golf Course not far from Buker Pond, and on a beautiful day you get a great view of Oak Hill from       Buker Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Buker Pond is a wet place that gets a great deal of rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while September is commonly the driest month. Lakes are splendid; Sand Pond is a lake that's in close proximity to Buker Pond, and after a long day outdoors Winthrop Motel is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. A great place to camp here at Buker Pond is The Birches Campground;                  since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Jimmy Pond. Why not camp at Augusta West Lakeside Resort if you're here at Buker Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cathance River. Summertime highs at Buker Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and the night is fairly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 60's.
