Bugeye Pond

Don't leave Bugeye Pond without first going for a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail. Rangeley Lake State Park is both splendid and scenic, and it's in close proximity to Bugeye Pond; naturally Gold Brook flows through this area. Looking for something near Bugeye Pond? Loon Lake is close at hand, and there's glorious hiking along the Arnold Trail. There's so much to do here at Bugeye Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cathedral Pines Camping Area is a great
location for that. There are good spots to look at along the Morrell Trail, and a quick tour to Nash Brook is positively a pleasant idea.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises. - Justin Gray
