Go for a hike on the Gulf Hagas Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Hedgehog Pond is a pleasant lake near Brown Pond, and a pleasant close by hotel is Pittsfield Motor Inn. Don't leave Brown Pond without first going for a hike along the Number Four Mountain Trail, and lakes are such       peaceful places, why not visit Trout Pond. From a rain point of view Brown Pond is a quite common site; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Throughout the summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Brown Pond. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are usually in the 20's with temperatures at Brown Pond dipping                  down into the-10's during winter nights. Man, is there plenty of amusing things to do right next door to Brown Pond. Really magnificent skiing awaits you at Big Squaw. There's so much to do here at Brown Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Casey's Spencer Bay Campground is a pleasant location for that.
