For the period of the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Brackett Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Brackett Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. You can run the rapids of Piscataquis River -       East Branch near Brackett Pond; dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn. Gotta ski! Eaton Mountain is a pleasant location to do that; if you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Piscataquis River - West Branch. Lakes are splendid; Hussey Pond is a lake that's close to Brackett Pond. Brackett Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall;                  the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is February. Brackett Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Balsam woods Campground is a perfect local campground, and the summit of Russell Mountain can be made out from Brackett Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Brackett Pond, you'll come across Thanksgiving Pond which is a beautiful lake. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Brackett Pond.
