     A nice place to camp here at Brackett Pond is Northern Pride Lodge and Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Big Squaw Mountain Trail. For the period of the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 70's at Brackett Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Brackett Pond temperatures plunge to the-10's. You can run the rapids of Piscataquis River -  
   East Branch near Brackett Pond; dry warm beds await you at Bingham Motor Inn. Gotta ski! Eaton Mountain is a pleasant location to do that; if you need a spot to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a glorious choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Piscataquis River - West Branch. Lakes are splendid; Hussey Pond is a lake that's close to Brackett Pond. Brackett Pond is a wet place that gets a large amount of rainfall;
 
               the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is February. Brackett Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Balsam woods Campground is a perfect local campground, and the summit of Russell Mountain can be made out from Brackett Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Brackett Pond, you'll come across Thanksgiving Pond which is a beautiful lake. If you want a glorious time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Brackett Pond. Getting to Bald Mountain Stream from Brackett Pond is trouble-free, and there are great spots to explore along the Intake Trail.

Breezy Acres Camps and Guide Service is located in both Solon and Eustis Maine. He have housekeeping cabins which are set up with full size stoves, refrigerators,microwave, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, etc. The beds are made with linens and there are plenty of towels for the shower in the bathroom. Each cabin has its own picnic table, charcoal grill and outside fire pit. We can sleep up to 38 people.

You can access snowmobile and ATV trails right from the cabin for many miles of riding. Canoeing and kayaking on various lakes, ponds, streams and rivers are a great way to relax. Hunting, fishing, golf and white water rafting are some of the other activities that we offer.

We offer reasonable rates and great hospitality.

Eaton Mountain provides affordable and convenient skiing, snowboarding, and snowtubing to the greater Waterville/Skowhegan area. The mountain boasts a suprising variety of terrain for a compact ski area including glades, challenging steeps, and classic New England style trails. Most of the area is covered with snowmaking and is lit for nightskiiing. Equipment rentals and lessons are available. The base lodge has a snackbar and provides a place to warm up by the wood stove and meet friends.
The ski area has new owners as of November 2008 and will not be operating for the 2008-09 ski season. The new owners will be taking the time to make improvements and prepare for a grand reopening in the fall of 2009. Immediate improvements are planned to include an all new snowtubing facility and widening of the Moose slope for a new terrain park.
The ski area is located on Lambert Road, just off Route 2 between Skowhegan and Canaan....
