Bowman Ponds is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Deer Mountain Campground is a good spot to camp nearby; if you get bored of Bowman Ponds you could also stop by close by Billings Ponds. High temperatures at Bowman Ponds during the summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the wintertime       this place gets highs in the 20's; all through the dark hours in the winter at Bowman Ponds temperatures dip to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Magalloway River, and there's splendid hiking along the Arnold Trail. So much exciting stuff to do here at Bowman Ponds, too delightful to be true. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Balsams Wilderness. Bowman Ponds sees pretty high levels of precipitation;                  all through the month of August you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest.
