     The beauty of Bowles Lake attracts many people from all around. At Bowles Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Bowles Lake tend to be in the 0's. A wonderful nearby hotel is Bar Harbor Inn; a splendid panorama of beautiful Porcupine Pinnacle is available. While you're here at  
   Bowles Lake, you could also pop by stunning First Lake; a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Machias River.
So much amusing stuff to do at Bowles Lake, so little time. A good deal of rain falls at Bowles Lake; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is June. There's so much to do here at Bowles Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Big Lake Campground is a glorious place for that,
 
               and Second Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.
This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Keenes Lake Camping Grounds; if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mopang Stream.

Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
