Bellmard Motel & Tourist Home is a wonderful site to get some rest, and a good spot to camp here at Bowles Lake is Ckuwapon Day Camp. This lake is so wonderful. Machias River is a glorious whitewater spot near Bowles Lake; if you need a place to stay Cloud 9 Motel is a good choice. In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mopang Stream. Bowles Lake is a wet location that gets a good deal       of rainfall; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is June. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Bowles Lake reach the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Bowles Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
