That right there is loads already, but it keeps on going; Bowles Lake has it all. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Bowles Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Keenes Lake Camping Grounds is a perfect spot for that, and there's whitewater on       Machias River for all you adrenaline people. Bowles Lake is a pretty wet place generally with much precipitation; most of the rain falls through November while June is usually the driest month. From Bowles Lake you get a great panorama of Porcupine Pinnacle, and you can run the rapids of Mopang Stream. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bowles Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while Bowles                  Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's.
