     Maine has many beautiful lakes and The Bowl is one of them. Do schedule some time to visit Compass Harbor in the neighborhood of The Bowl if you have a chance, and one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Hunters Beach. If you go for the outdoors, you'll adore The Bowl. A perfect nearby hotel is Arcadia Suites, and the trees of The Black Woods are a great source of shade on hot summer days. If you need a place to stay Cromwell Harbor Motel  
   is a fine choice, and The Beehive is a peak you can distinguish from The Bowl.
This lake is so wonderful. There's nice hiking along the The Beehive Trail, and Blackwoods Campground is a great campground here. The Bowl sees pretty high levels of precipitation; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and August is when it's the driest. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Sieur de Monts Spring; The Bowl is a fine location
 
               to camp, Mt. Desert Narrows Camping Resort is a fine location.
Cadillac Cliffs is an out of the ordinary location to have a look at while at The Bowl, and a day at Sand Beach is time well spent. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to Acadia National Park is recommended, and splendid hiking is available along the Bowl Trail. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Near The Bowl you find tremendous places like Newport Ledge, and Bear Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.
Swamps don’t sound that great but Great Meadow in close proximity to The Bowl is relatively great, and the scenery at The Tarn Dam is wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 70's to The Bowl, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's while The Bowl night low temperatures through the winter are in the 10's.
Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Beaver Dam Pond, and you can go for a hike on the North Gorham Mountain Trail.
