Why not stop by Booth Quarry Pond if you're passing through these parts. If the weather is tremendous here at Booth Quarry Pond, you can go for a hike along the Trail Point Trail, and paddling on Goose Falls is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Arey Cove is in the vicinity and always glorious to stop at, and nothing beats kicking back at Indian Camp Beach. There is a good hiking trail close to Booth Quarry Pond called the Western Head Trail, and if you need a place to stay Candlepin Cabin is a great choice. On a lovely day you get a panorama of Barley Hill from Booth Quarry Pond, and there are plenty of people from Rockland here. Pond. Camping at Duck Harbor Campground is always a perfect experience, and a fine place close by is Bunker Ledge. The Ebens Head Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in close proximity to Booth Quarry Pond, and glide down the rapids
of Ducktrap River in a kayak. A large amount of rainfall falls at Booth Quarry Pond; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain; July is when it's the driest.
