Mud Lake is a wonderful lake close to Booming Ground; Mountain View Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Baskahegan Stream for all you adrenaline people, and a pretty lake like Chiputneticook Lakes is a perfect location to visit. Why not go to a swamp like Forest City Stream while you're here at Booming Ground, and there's great hiking along the Potters Trail. A common amount of precipitation falls here

Dam if you're here at Booming Ground, and get your heart beating on the splendid whitewater of Baskahegan Stream. Don't leave Booming Ground without first paying a visit to Mud Lake Falls, and if you came for an overnight stay Greenland Cove Campground is a wonderful place to camp.
