    The beauty of Boody Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. You ought to beyond doubt stop at pretty Gilman Beach while you're here at Boody Pond, and after a long day outdoors Katahdin Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Boody Pond is a good place of normal precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. Millinocket Stream has  
   a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by, and nearby you come across the Munsungan Lake Tote Road which is a magnificent hiking trail.
There's so much to do here at Boody Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a glorious place for that, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. All the outdoors entertaining things near Boody Pond will keep you coming back many times. Going for
 
               a hike on the Matagamon Tote Road is always a great adventure. Through the summer months, highs usually are in the 70's at Boody Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Boody Pond.
Whitewater paddling is nice on Munsungan Stream, and if you came to camp Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a good site to do that.
