Gilman Beach is a beach in close proximity to Boody Pond that you can stop at, and there are some good whitewater spots on Munsungan Stream. Lakes? Sure, Jones Pond is close by. Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in close proximity to Boody Pond. A good location to camp here at Boody Pond is Matagamon Wilderness Campground; don't leave       Boody Pond without first going for a hike along the Matagamon Tote Road. Boody Pond is a good place of typical precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is February. During the warmest time of the year here at Boody Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 70's, and the overnight is fairly chillier of course, generally in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through                  the wintertime temperatures at Boody Pond fall into the-10's. Going for a hike on the Millinocket Lake Tote Road is always a great adventure, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a nice location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful.
