    A visit to Bog Pond is always a good idea. A round of golf at nearby Kennebec Heights Country Club is a good way to kill some time, and if you get bored of Bog Pond you could also stop at nearby Cobbosseecontee Lake. This lake is so wonderful. At Cobbosseecontee Lake Dam close to Bog Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Cobbosseecontee Stream. Lots of precipitation  
   falls at Bog Pond; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Bog Pond called the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Getting to Mears Brook from Bog Pond is easy. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Bog Pond has to offer, you can camp at Augusta West Lakeside Resort. Through the days of summer highs here at Bog
 
               Pond get into the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Bog Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
Maple Hill Farm B & B Inn is a great place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Bog Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Great Pond Campground is a brilliant place for that. Be careful coming to Bog Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. A great nearby hotel is Axell's Scandinavian Inn, and Meadow Hill is a peak you can catch a sight of from Bog Pond. If you're visiting Bog Pond from Augusta-Waterville, you won't be the only one, and you could always discover Packards Ledge.
