This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Augusta West Lakeside Resort; at Cobbosseecontee Lake Dam right next door to Bog Pond there are some attention-grabbing things to see. It's a good idea to explore Mears Brook, it's near Bog Pond, and after a long day outdoors Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a wonderful location to spend       a night or two. This place, Bog Pond, it just has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. If you get bored of Bog Pond, you could also check out nearby Little Jimmie Pond, and Bog Pond is a good spot to visit for more than one day, Foggy Bottom Marine is a good spot to camp nearby. Take a hike on the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, and golf can be played at Kennebec Heights Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Augusta-Waterville                  here; if you come at the right time of year, Cobbosseecontee Stream offers some tremendous whitewater. Jimmie Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to, and Packards Ledge is in the neighborhood, and is a splendid place. The high level of rain makes Bog Pond a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls through November; February meanwhile is the driest month. At Bog Pond through the summertime highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
