In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Machias River. Lakes? Sure, Horseshoe Lake is around here. There are good places to discover along the Mud Hole Trail. This lake is so wonderful. All our national parks are magnificent spots to take a look at, and Roosevelt Campobello International Park is no exception, and from Bog Lake you acquire a splendid sight of Harmon Mountain. Summertime highs at Bog Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Cove Golf Course and RV Park is a wonderful local campground, and Pug Heath is a swamp next to Bog Lake. Long Lake Cove is in the neighborhood and always good to stop at, and not far from Bog Lake you'll come across Pug Lake which
is a striking lake. East Machias River is a tremendous whitewater spot right next door to Bog Lake. There's so much to do here at Bog Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunkhaze Campground is a nice site for that.

 | 14 miles away Clifford Lake is very isolated . You can get their via route 9 or Route 1 in Princeton. I would recommend a recent typo map and asking plenty of guestions from the locals. There is a small camping area. My last trip there (92) I had a truck and it was needed to traverse one road that comes to mind. The fishing was excellent ( pickerel averaged 20 in.) .
