     Camping is available at Cathedral Pines Camping Area; Sarampus Falls is always fun to check out. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Bugeye Pond; you can run the rapids of Dead River - North Branch. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Blanchard Pond is excellent! Cupsuptic River is a glorious whitewater spot close to Blanchard Pond, and there's delightful hiking along the Arnold  
   Trail. Blanchard Pond Outlet is in the neighborhood of Blanchard Pond and is always a diversion to pop by, and why not camp at Black Arrow Lodge since you're here at Blanchard Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Sugarloaf USA close by. An average amount of precipitation falls at Blanchard Pond; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Summer at Blanchard Pond arrives with high temperatures
 
               in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Blanchard Pond.
There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Saddleback, and don't leave Blanchard Pond without first going for a hike along the Arnold Pond Trail. Lakes? Sure, Poison Pond is in close proximity, and there are good spots to discover along the Morrell Trail.

I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises....
