Blanchard Pond is not the only site nearby, Yarmouth Reservoir is a nearby lake, and you'll possibly meet some folks from Portland-South Portland here. If the weather is wonderful, you obtain a glorious sight of Bruce Hill from Blanchard Pond, and a day on the slopes of Lost Valley is just what you need. Summer at Blanchard Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and       through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Blanchard Pond. Dry warm beds await you at Portland Regency Hotel, and if you come at the right time of year, Chandler Brook offers some nice whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Knights Pond, and there are some good whitewater spots on Royal River. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining                  stuff in the neighborhood of Blanchard Pond. If you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Hotel is a great choice; Toddy Brook Golf Course is a fine golf course close by. Why not camp at A Vacationland Campground while you're here at Blanchard Pond, and if you're here, you could check out Mill Brook. Blanchard Pond is a rather wet place frequently with lots of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and September meanwhile is the driest month.
