Howard Johnson Hotel is a tremendous place to get some rest; a round of golf at nearby Toddy Brook Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time. Blanchard Pond in fact is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. There's so much to do here at Blanchard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Brooks Campground is a delightful spot for that, and Bruce Hill is clearly visible from Blanchard Pond.       This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to Mill Brook near Blanchard Pond is a magnificent idea, and there's whitewater on Chandler Brook for all you adrenaline rush seekers. You'll meet a lot of people from Portland-South Portland here, and you can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Lost Valley. This lake is so wonderful. A glorious close by hotel is Portland Regency Hotel, and get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Royal River.                  At Blanchard Pond all through the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's while Blanchard Pond nighttime low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 10's. Blanchard Pond gets much water; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is September.
