A fine close by hotel is Residence Inn Portland Downtown/Waterfront, and you're probably interested in lakes, Knights Pond is one of those close by. There's some flowing water nearby, Mill Brook is a stream you can visit while you're here, and the top of Bruce Hill is easily made out from Blanchard Pond. This lake is so wonderful. This is a tremendous vicinity for people who like lakes. Yarmouth Reservoir is a lake nearby, and there's whitewater on Royal River

Very close to the Eastern Trail for a scenic hike of nature and wildlife. A tranquil setting but yet close to shopping, fine dining and the beach. Not many activities on site, but no noise either. Also, a strong WiFi signal was nice for a change and cable TV with 70 channels at our level site. Highly recommend if staying for a week, month or the season. Plenty to do in the area.... |
