If you are in this part of Maine make sure to pay a visit to Blakeslee Lake. | | on Parlin Pond Stream; Blakeslee Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Black Arrow Lodge is a tremendous local campground. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Cupsuptic River; a glorious site to camp here at Blakeslee Lake is King & Bartlett Lake Camp. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Blakeslee Lake called the Fire Warden Trail, and why not go to nearby Durgin Brook while you're here at Blakeslee | |

Lake. Throughout the long summer days here at Blakeslee Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 70's, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and
after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Blakeslee Lake drop into the-10's. The Bigelow Range Trail is a tremendous hiking trail in close proximity to Blakeslee Lake; Mud Pond is a nearby lake that you could go to.

 | 13 miles away 2 PHOTOS I've been visiting Bugeye Pond for as long as I've been alive as my family owns one of the two camps on it and I've always found it to be a very pristine and relaxing place. Aside from snowmobile noise in the winter and traffic on route 27, I would have to say it is the most gorgeous place in Maine. As for the fishing, I haven't been there since I actually began fishing so I can't really attest to that. My parents were up there this past weekend and said there were people on the pond all weekend long, but they never saw anybody land a brookie despite the abundant rises.... |
