    Blackmore Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Summertime highs at Blackmore Pond generally tend to be in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Blackmore Pond. From a precipitation point of view Blackmore Pond is a reasonably typical place; July is when you get the most rain  
   here, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a location to stay Katahdin Inn is a great choice; do take a hike on the Eagle Lake Tote Road.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Webster Brook; Blackmore Pond is not the only place nearby, Little Moose Pond is a nearby lake. All the outdoors exciting things near Blackmore Pond will keep you coming back persistently. Beetle
 
               Mountain is stunning and can be spotted from Blackmore Pond. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Blackmore Pond has to offer, you can camp at South Branch Pond Campground. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Freezeout Road; there's whitewater on Munsungan Stream for all you adrenaline people.
Looking for something next to Blackmore Pond? Chandler Brook Deadwater is close by. There's so much to do here at Blackmore Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Matagamon Wilderness Campground is a delightful spot for that. While you're here at Blackmore Pond you can take a hike along the Old Pogy Road; why not a little side tour to Buckley Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
