A tremendous place for whitewater paddling close to Blackmore Pond is Webster Brook, and there are splendid locations to discover along the Old Pogy Road. There is a tremendous hiking trail in the vicinity of Blackmore Pond called the Eagle Lake Tote Road, and South Branch Pond Campground is a brilliant local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Buckley Brook is a great place to explore, and Munsungan       Stream is a nice whitewater spot nearby. So much fun stuff near Blackmore Pond, completely phenomenal. Going for a hike on the Freezeout Road is always a splendid adventure, and Katahdin Inn is a magnificent location to get some rest. Throughout the summertime at Blackmore Pond highs are regularly in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Blackmore Pond dipping down into the-10's during                  winter nights. The yearly precipitation here at Blackmore Pond is about average; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.
