So much cool stuff to do at Black Pond, so little time. Longley Pond is a perfect lake near Black Pond. There's whitewater on Ellis Brook for all you thrill seekers; a beautiful lake like Brandy Pond is a tremendous spot to stop at. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Caucomgomoc       Stream, and there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Telephone Trail. High temperatures at Black Pond throughout the summertime are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Black Pond. The amount of rain that falls at Black Pond is close to the national average; July is the month that gets the most rain, and the                  driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
