     Black Pond is a nice lake to visit. Some nearby water includes Black Brook, and going for a hike on the Telephone Trail is always a great adventure. There are delightful places to discover along the Big Spencer Mountain Trail; whitewater paddling is splendid on Ellis Brook. This lake is so wonderful. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Caucomgomoc Stream; close by you discover the Carry Trail which is a nice hiking trail.

   temperatures at Black Pond through the summertime are in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Black Pond fall into the-10's. The amount of precipitation that falls at Black Pond is close to the national average; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Everybody close by loves skiing at Big Squaw.
