    The beauty of Black Pond is reason enough to stop by. Black Pond is a good place of common rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; do schedule some time to have a look at Snow Cove if you have a chance. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Robin Hood Camp is always a great experience, and  
   you can take a little spree to Walker Pond Dam while you're here at Black Pond.
Birchhead Shore is a beach close to Black Pond that you can stop by, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Blue Hill Falls. If the weather is good here at Black Pond, you can go for a hike along the Old Cove Trail, and a fine place to camp here at Black Pond is Sunshine Campground. This site is unbeatable, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood
 
               of Black Pond. On a good day at Black Pond you can take a hike along the Sawyer Notch Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by John Gray Pond.
Best Western Fort Knox Inn is a great site to get some rest; the peak of Caterpillar Mountain can be observed from Black Pond. If you need a spot to stay Eggemoggin Oceanfront Lodge is a good choice, and not far from Black Pond you'll discover Walker Pond which is a beautiful lake. Black Brook flows through this neighborhood, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Goose Falls.
Any time is a fine time at Black Pond if you love the outdoors. All through the summer at Black Pond temperatures are mostly in the 70's. Summer night lows drop down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Black Pond through the wintertime frequently descend into the 0's.
