The beauty of Black Pond is reason enough to stop by. Black Pond is a good place of common rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Blue Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; do schedule some time to have a look at Snow Cove if you have a chance. Birchhead Shore is a beach close to Black Pond that you can stop by, and a wonderful spot for whitewater paddling is Blue Hill Falls. If the weather is good here at Black Pond, you can go for a hike along the Old Cove Trail, and a fine place to camp here at Black Pond is Sunshine Campground.
