     On a great day at Black Pond you can take a hike along the Island Pond Trail, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Fish Pond. Throughout the summertime, highs typically are in the 70's at Black Pond. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 10's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Black Pond tend to be in the-10's. And that's not all you can do here  
   at Black Pond. Drift down the rapids of Big Brook River in a kayak; while you're here you can take a hike along the Fox Brook Trail.
Black Pond is a good place of typical rain; August is the month that gets the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There are other spots here than Black Pond, for example Pushineer Pond, and a great view of scenic Black Mountain is available. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Fish
 
               River is so much fun, and camping is available at Pelletier's Campground.
If you came for an overnight stay Little Black Check Point is a perfect spot to camp, and the Round Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby.
