Black Pond is a nice lake to visit. But wait, there's more to do close to Black Pond. What would winter be without some skiing at Lost Valley, and Residence Inn Auburn is a splendid site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Nezinscot River, and people from Lewiston-Auburn love to come here. Black Pond is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Bear Pond Campground Fun Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby;

| | a lake nearby is Frog Pond. At Black Pond through the summer months highs are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are ordinarily in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Black Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Martin Stream Campsite is a great campground nearby; you don’t have to go far from Black Pond to distinguish the water at Turner Dam. Mud Pond is a nearby lake, and nothing beats kicking back at Auburn Municipal Beach. Black Pond mostly gets a lot of rain; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
