The beauty of Bishop Pond is reason enough to stop by. Go for a hike on the Island Pond Trail, and if you came to camp Umcolcus Sporting Camps is a wonderful place to do that. Don't leave Bishop Pond without first going for a hike along the Round Trail, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Machias River. This lake is so wonderful. Fish River is a tremendous whitewater spot in the vicinity of Bishop Pond, and here at

| | Bishop Pond you can make out Carr Pond Mountain. This place, Bishop Pond, it completely has so much outdoors cool stuff. Dry warm beds await you at Crown Park Inn. High temperatures at Bishop Pond during the summertime are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Bishop Pond. There's wonderful hiking along the Fox Brook Trail. | |

There's so much to do here at Bishop Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Clover Hill Campground is a great spot for that. Bishop Pond is a good place of common precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August; February is the month with the least moisture.
