A magnificent beach in the neighborhood of Birchwood Pond is Thomas Point Beach, and close by you discover good sites like Bragdon Rock. Birchwood Pond is a wet spot that gets a lot of rainfall; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You're almost certainly keen on lakes, Houghton Pond is one of those close by, and Houghton Pond Dam is gorgeous. Rodeway Inn & Suites
is a perfect place to get some rest. Lakes are glorious; Campbell Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Birchwood Pond.
Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do close to Birchwood Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn BATH (BRUNSWICK AREA) is a glorious choice; if you come at the right time of year, Cobbosseecontee Stream offers some pleasant whitewater. Through the months of summer at Birchwood Pond highs

are regularly in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Birchwood Pond.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. If you came to camp Meadowbrook Camping Area is a great spot to do that; don't forget to take a delightful little spree to Dam Cove Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Head Beach Camp Grounds is always a good experience, and a day at Hunnewell Beach is time well spent. Here at Birchwood Pond you can see Batchelder Hill; golf can be played at Bath Country Club.
If you're here at Birchwood Pond, do take a tour to Basin Point, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cathance River.

Sand Dune Beach on Hermit Island....
I am one of the owners of this campground.?A camper has made his own website, but it is NOT our official website and may contain old or inaccurate information.?Please check our website at www.hermitisland.com for accurate, up-to-date information....
Hermit Island is easily the best vacation your family will ever make. There are seven white sand beaches, which are not crowded at all. You could easily find that you have the entire beach to yourself. Among the other options, there are hiking trails, biking, fishing, boating, a full marina, swimming, and much more. The best part is that at night, when camping near the coast of the island, you fall asleep to the soft lull of the waves and the gentle summer breeze. It is truly one of Maine's hidden gems, as you will find no other place like it. There is something magical about it, that will draw you back year after year. My love for this place will never die out. For more information, check out the official travel guide for Hermit Island at www.hermitisland.weebly.com...

Camp Seguin-tenting
This was the best place on earth. My husband and I went back every year for a week on tranquility on the ocean. Crushed, I mean extremely disappointed to find out it had gone out of business. We drove by as well to make sure it was closed. We couldn't quite believe it....This was great campground, but alas, it has been closed for a few years now. I think we camped there the last year they were open. We were very disappointed to find them out of business and even drove by once to really make sure they were closed....

Cathance River
Fun short spot, We made it a overnight trip and had a good old time. There needs to be a bunch of water in this stream to even make it doable. on 4/20 we were scooting-ass over many shallow spots in our yaks. Fun drops with laziness inbetween make for a good time especially for the novice....

Chewonki Big Eddy Campground
11 miles away
...hed in 1962 and located on a 400-acre peninsula in Wiscasset, Maine. We are dedicated to helping people grow individually and in community with others by providing educational experiences that foster an understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
Our leaders challenge participants both physically and intellectually with activities that build self confidence, a sense of community, and a greater awareness of the inter relatedness of the world around us. Since 2002, The Chewonki Foundation has purchased the campground land, built new privies, renovated existing buildings, rewired sites, and revegetated many areas of erosion. We will continue revegetation efforts and to explore energy alternatives for the campground, as well as making it as green a campground as possible. We have recently received teaching equipment for basic fly-fishing programs and will continue to work with volunteers to promote fly-fishing and river conservation. Future projects may include primitive cabins and a shale boat launch. We welcome your thoughts and suggestions.

Ocean wood Campground
13 miles away
I have been camping at Oceanwood for the last 3 or 4 years. It is by far the best ocean camping you can find in Maine by far. Spacious sites, peace and quiet, the ocean view is just plain beautiful. If you want a true Maine ocean camping experience, this is the spot....theres no place like it, that I know of. My wife and I first stayed at ocean wood over ten years ago. A friend told us about it. we are avid campers and have camped all over the U.S.A. we try to avoid campgrounds usually opting for back country camping because with the r.v. craze of late so many campgrounds have estentialy become glorified parking lots. this is not the case at ocean wood. the sites give a good sense of privacy and coexist with the natural surroundings almost seemlessly. ocean front sites are spectacular and give an opportiunity to experience maines downeast coast so personaly it becomes a part of you. We try to go each year and realy miss the place between visits. The owner and staff make you feel like a part of the family and we have never had a regret or even a hint of a problem. I wont go into descriptions of the natural beauty of the place because it is truly beyond that. if you know downeast maine, this is it. if you dont, ocean wood is the definition. ...
