    The beauty of Birch Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is one of the great places here in the White Mountains. Birch Pond is a good place of common rain; most of the rain falls during August, and February is the month with the least moisture. If you need a place to stay The Perennial Inn is a magnificent choice; you can never get enough of the good skiing at Black Mountain.
At Birch Pond throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and
 
   all through the night it cools down to the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Birch Pond tend to be in the-10's. So many cool things to do in the White Mountains, not enough time. Birch Brook is in close proximity to Birch Pond and is always a joy to have a look at, and the Brook Trail is a great hiking trail close by. This place, the White Mountains, has so much outdoors exciting  
               things. You get a good view of Bunker Mountain from Birch Pond; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Swift River Reservoir.
You'll need more than a day to discover everything Birch Pond has to offer, you can camp at Mountain View Campground, and not far from Birch Pond you'll find Muskrat Pond which is a beautiful lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some glorious whitewater, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Chimney Trail. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Birch Pond called the Angel Falls Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Grand Summit Resort Sunday River is a glorious place to get some rest, and nice skiing awaits you at Saddleback. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Birch Pond rocks! Stay the night at Coos Canyon Cabins and Campground, and glide down the rapids of Swift River in a kayak.

Today I finished a kayak trip from Strong, Maine and took out at Osoola Park in Norridgewock. It took a day and three quarters. The bridge in New Sharon is by far  the largest waves just under the bridge. Tired arms went through that at the near end of day. The water after that is fast for about an hour after that. Need to pay attention....
