Summertime highs at Birch Harbor Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come       with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Birch Harbor Pond are in the 10's. Frazer Creek is a great place to take a look at, and if you have time to spare, Acadia National Park is a national park worth stopping at. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Narraguagus River - West Branch for all you thrill seekers, and The Chiltern Inn is a delightful spot to get some rest. Birch Harbor Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; November                  is the month that gets the most rain; the driest of the months is August. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Birch Harbor Pond. There are magnificent places to look at along the Schoodic Head Trail, and the sight of pretty Buck Cove Mountain is fine. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Narraguagus River, and Birch Harbor is very near and is a good site to pop by. Be careful coming to Birch Harbor Pond, you might not ever want to go home again. There's tremendous hiking along the Alder Path Trail, and a pretty lake like Forbes Pond is a splendid spot to check out. This lake is so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Grindstone Neck Golf Course, and a tremendous site to camp here at Birch Harbor Pond is Flanders Bay.
