Some of the water nearby flows, like Bereau Brook, and there are other sites here than Billings Ponds, for example Caribou Pond. There are some great whitewater spots on Magalloway River; lakes are such serene sites, why not stop at Rump Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Arnold Trail is always a good adventure, and camping at Cupsuptic Campground is always a good experience. All the water falling down from the sky makes Billings Ponds
a wet place; the month with most of the rain is August, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
Summer brings highs in the 70's to Billings Ponds while overnight lows are typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's while Billings Ponds nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the-10's. Boundary Pond
Drove up on the 14th of October, 1 day before season closed. First time in 35 years of going was the pond complete smooth, not a ripple. Between my friend and I, we must have caught 30-40 fish both on dry & wet flies, only keeping 4 for breakfast the next morning. It was a good mix of newly stocked (white bellies) and either hold overs or natives (deep rich colors). It was a wonderful experience!...
