Reed Mountain can be seen from Big Reed Pond, and if you came to camp South Branch Pond Campground is a tremendous place to do that. A nice spot for whitewater paddling next to Big Reed Pond is Musquacook Stream, and the Freezeout Road is a glorious hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful.       Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a glorious place to get some rest, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Old Telos Tote Road. Big Reed Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; through July this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. This is no site for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Little Bluffer Brook is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater                  of Webster Brook. A lake nearby is Buckley Pond. Summer at Big Reed Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's.
