Bald Head Ledge is near Big Pond and is a pleasant spot, and camping at Big Pond is glorious fun, Head Beach Camp Grounds is a glorious local campground. Big Pond is a wet place that gets much precipitation; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to visit Bigelow Bight while you're here at Big Pond, and after a long day outdoors       The Parkwood Inn is a glorious site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Sprague River, and if you came for an overnight stay Hermit Island Campground is a fine place to camp. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Big Pond. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Cathance River, and there are other places here than Big Pond, for example Cape Small Pond. Holiday Inn Bath-Brunswick                  Area, Me is a brilliant place to get some rest, and a day at beautiful Head Beach near Big Pond is a perfect thing to do. Haskell Hill is wonderful and can be observed from Big Pond, and Hunnewell Beach is a scenic beach to stop by. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Big Pond. Summer overnight lows plunge down to the 50's.
