Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Munsungan Stream; you can go for a hike on the Mooseleuk Tote Road. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Big Marsh Pond; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. During the summertime at Big Marsh Pond highs are generally in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. All through the wintertime       the highs are regularly in the 20's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Big Marsh Pond tend to be in the-10's. Dry warm beds await you at Katahdin Inn, and brilliant hiking is available along the Millinocket Lake Tote Road. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Libby Pinnacle can be made out from Big Marsh Pond; there are tremendous places to explore along the Munsungan Lake Tote Road. Camping at Matagamon Wilderness Campground is always a great                  experience; there's some flowing water nearby, Little Bog Brook is a stream you can visit while you're here. Just can't get enough of Big Marsh Pond.
