Big Lyford Pond is a good location of normal rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. High temperatures at Big Lyford Pond during the summertime are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration       of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Big Lyford Pond tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Pleasant River - West Branch, and Pittsfield Motor Inn is a delightful location to get some rest. A lake nearby is First West Branch Pond; if you come at the right time of year, Roach River offers some great whitewater. Hedgehog Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from Big                  Lyford Pond, and if you need a location to stay Lodge at Moosehead Lake is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. You could also pop by Bluff Pond if you're here at Big Lyford Pond; it's nearby, and hiking along the Gulf Hagas Trail is pleasant fun. The slopes of Big Squaw are so inviting nobody can resist; obviously Duran Brook is a lovely stream that is worth taking a look at.
